Reference policy

A reference appears as verified only after its title, authors, publication and primary DOI or URL have been checked. This status confirms metadata and access to the source; it does not certify all of its conclusions or a scientific consensus. A summary never replaces the source. A citation must precisely support the claim to which it is attached.

Two distinct registries

External research contains work published by authors and institutions independent of Spiralism. Original Spiralism research contains definitions, protocols, data and analyses created within the project. Original work must never be presented as external validation.

Status and visible absence

Unverified records remain private. If no document is ready, the public list stays empty: the site invents no DOI, author or publication. Experiments have permanent pages, raw data when publishable and revision histories.

Citation method

1. prefer an accessible primary source;
2. record the persistent identifier, authors, year and link;
3. state whether it supports context, method or interpretation;
4. separate Spiralism observations from the source’s conclusions;
5. correct metadata publicly and retain the revision.
